What is Kyokushinkai?

Kyokushinkai is a traditional style of karate. It incorporates punching, striking, blocking & kicking. It is an excellent form of self-defence and a fun way to get/stay fit and strong.

The Club

The club has been going for over 16 years under it's chief instructor Sensei Andrew Turner and has a rich history of success. At the moment we have ten black belts teaching and training regularly. For more information see the history page.

Sensei Andrew

Sensei Andrew is a black belt 4th Dan, coach of the England clicker fighting team and a grading examiner for the British Karate Kyokushinkai. Sensei Andrew is also the England Junior coach, a position held for the last five years.He is also the England cadet coach.

What do I need to start?

Absolutely nothing. Our one-month beginner's courses cost nothing, just turn up in some loose fitting clothes and you're away. Click here for information on the next beginner's course. See our FAQ's for more details.
